It is possible to drive here, either from one of the French Channel Ports or from Bilbao or Santander in Spain. From Barcelona, there is an excellent toll motorway, the AP7 which passes near to Tortosa, or you can take the more leisurely scenic N340 along the Mediterranean.

The train service in Spain is excellent. Punctual, clean and very reasonably priced. Tortosa is served by a direct line to all stations to both Barcelona and Valencia.
